Bamboo viscose is noticeably softer and more breathable than most cotton, and it moves heat and moisture away from the skin, which helps with those babies who run warm at night. It also has a bit of natural stretch, so zippies and sleepers stay comfortable as they wiggle.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent, and tumble dry low or hang to dry. Skip fabric softener and bleach, softener coats the fibers and slowly kills the softness that makes bamboo worth buying. Wash with like colors for the first few washes, especially with deeper prints.

Expect minimal shrinkage if you wash cold and dry low. Hot water and high heat are what cause bamboo to shrink and pill, so keep both low and your pieces will hold their shape and size through a lot of wears.
